It is important that I distinguish the difference in the roles loved ones, angels, and Spirit Guides play in our lives.
Angels protect us, loved ones reassure us, and Spirit Guides show us the way. Spirit Guides may provide some of the things loved ones and angels do, such as reassuring us or moving us away from situations that might harm us. But above all, Spirit Guides are directive.
They guide us toward the lessons we’re here to learn and the higher knowing that underpins them all. Our highest being knows what’s right for us, but it can be easy to forget. The goal of Spirit Guides is to help us remember. It’s essential that we befriend them. They’ve already befriended us! They know everything about us. They are, quite literally, part of your team. Treat them as such! Be informal, be comfortable, be forward with your requests. Know deep in your heart that you can’t do this wrong. Getting that point clear will enhance the process of connecting to and working with your Guides.
